The right budget to achieve
your stated goals
When providing a bespoke service, it is not logical to invoice in a cookie-cutter way. Codastar uses a more in-depth approach to defining the budget required for a project.
To understand what is required to achieve your goals, we study the competitiveness of the keywords that are to be optimised. This competitiveness can be evaluated looking at the gap between your website and the first 10 listed on the first page of Google.
Among the factors we examine are:
- The range of criteria Google uses to compile rankings
- Where you lack compared to your competitors
- The overall number of results returned for the search
By studying your competitors based on Google’s criteria as well as current rankings - we can uncover their current advantages over you and the gaps we need to close to eliminate them. This is what determines our budget, and the project timeline involved.
Another important factor is the overall competitiveness of a search.
For instance, being on the first page of a Google search for “insurers in Chelsea” would be much less competitive than if you were to compete for “car insurance”. It is the difference between fighting with a few local businesses and every corporation – including the big comparison websites who have enormous SEO budgets – worldwide.
Furthermore, the SEO strategies and budgets required would be completely different. This is why budget estimations require background research.
